Joe Abouata (born July 19, 1982 in San Francisco, California) is an American heavyweight mixed martial artist. "A-Poc" holds titles as the BCX North American Heavyweight Champion and the USKBA North American Heavyweight Champion.
Currently fighting out of Bridgewater, New Jersey, Abouata moved from Sonoma, California in 2007 to train under Alex Wilkie at Alex Wilkie's Martial Arts Academy, where he trains in American Freestyle and is part of the fight team Wilkie's Warriors. Recently, Aboutata continues to compete in the fight league Ring of Combat.
A graduate of Sonoma Valley High School in 2000, two of his friends have careers in other professional sports. OJ Simpson is an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens and Tommy Everidge is a first baseman for the Oakland Athletics.
